At CrossFit South Kingstown we believe in building a community of people who not only support each other, but give back to those who need it most. Throughout the year we strive to provide an avenue for our members to give back through a variety of charity events. Events like Barbells for Boobs, a charity event to support breast cancer detection services. CrossFit for Hope- providing funds for children suffering with cancer through the St Jude’s Medical Center. The 9463 Foundation Tabata Challenge- supporting the families of fallen police officers. CrossFit South Kingstown supports local, grassroots efforts sponsoring youth baseball and soccer teams, PTO organizations, Middle School road races and raising awareness regarding relationship violence. These are just a few of the many ways CrossFit South Kingstown gives back.

Through CrossFit, you will undoubtedly obtain a better quality of life for yourself doing things you never thought possible. CrossFit is empowering and for everyone. We would love to have you train with us and bring out your best.

9463 Foundation for Florida’s Fallen Officers: The mission of the 9463 foundation is to remember fallen heroes, educate the public, and support and assist the families who have lost loved ones while they were serving our community

Barbells for Boobs: Barbells for Boobs Fundraiser provides a great opportunity to let your community know how important proactive breast health care is while raising critical funds that help pay for screenings and early detection services for women & men in need.

CrossFit for Hope: When an athlete begins a CrossFit workout, they know when it will end. Kids diagnosed with a catastrophic illness, like cancer, don’t know when it will be over. They don’t know if they’ll win or lose. They don’t know how many rounds they face, or even what they’ll look like afterward. Donations are used to fight catastrophic children’s illnesses.

The Matty Fund: The Matty Fund® provides family resources, raises epilepsy awareness, promotes patient safety and improves the quality of life for children and families living with epilepsy. Epilepsy affects 3 million Americans and is the third most common neurological disorder. The Matty Fund® helps children and families affected by epilepsy throughout Rhode Island and beyond

Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Fund: A non-profit corporation that was founded to honor the life of Lindsay Ann Burke, a 23 year old Rhode Island College graduate from North Kingstown, R.I. Lindsay was a compassionate, honest and trusting young woman who cared deeply for others. She was trying to break the cycle of violence when she was murdered. Lindsay was an education major and came from a family of educators. We believe she would want us to break the silence and work towards ending relationship violence through education. As such, this fund will support the prevention of relationship violence primarily through the education of teens, parents, educators, and the public.

South Kingstown Little league: South Kingstown Little League sponsorship offsets the costs of equipment, player insurance, umpire training, and field maintenance, operational expenses, and helps supplement player participation fees. It is a great way for us to reach local families and support our community’s youth.

South Kingstown Youth Soccer Club: SCYSC is a non-profit, volunteer organization offering recreational and competitive athletic opportunities for nearly 900 youngsters, primarily from South Kingstown, between the ages of 4 and 18. SCYSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

BRMS Coyote run: Proceeds from the race support the Broad Rock Middle School community

The Sandy Hook Elementary School Fund: CFSK athletes came together to raise funds to support the Newtown CT community after 20 children and 6 adult staff members were shot and killed in December 2012.

MS Jet Pull: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of MS. They simultaneously fund research for a cure while also helping people who currently live with MS lead more fulfilling lives.

“CrossFit SK is so much more than a terrific place to get really fit and get in shape! The generosity of the entire CrossFit SK team including Allison, David, and Stacie, is commendable, and they are truly making a difference in their community. We are overwhelmed with their generosity of spirit and all the hard work that went into making the fundraiser they held for LABMF in support of the prevention of dating violence through education. It was a pleasure to meet so many of the participants, who are “regulars” at CrossFit SK and made us feel like family, and the can-do spirit they exhibit is infectious. Getting in shape, staying fit and helping to educate our youth about dating violence is a winning combination in anyone’s book!!” ~Ann Burke, LABMF
